DeepStitched Nights is a monthly club night hosted by deep house label DeepStitched Records, with which it showcases the talents of various artists the label works with from around the globe.

This month DeepStitched celebrates 2 years of deeper vibes at *The Closing Set* with Forteba and From P60 (Hungary) alongside local residents, Lino, Ady Fleming, 2Lani the Warrior, Mvelo, Miguel Tavares, Sleazy-E, Keegs Bantom and Troyder.

Since the mid 80’s, Forteba has been inspired by the electronic music scene. In 2000, he fell in love with the deep and tech-house sounds that were being released by Plastic City. His first album, ‘Space Between Us’ was released in 2007, which was then followed by the albums: ‘For Some Time Past’ (2008), ‘Stereoform’ (2012) and ‘Fabula’ (2015). Around 2013, having been inspired by the sounds of Dave DK and Jon Hopkins, Forteba started producing more electronic-styled music. His first EP in this style, called ‘Tape Select EP’, was released by his friend’s label, Bounce Back Music. Since then, Forteba has tried to find the balance between deep electronic and melodic atmospheric sounds. In 2016, Forteba released his full length album, ‘Playback Philosophy’, with Kompakt’s affiliated label KX, showing his talent for balancing the underground sounds.

From P60’s love for electronic music first started in the early 90’s when he attended the Simon Angel’s Party Zone. In 1999, From P60 was introduced to the secrets of electronic music-making by the Hungarian band, Le Garage. Over the next two to three years, From P60 attended Le Garage’s concerts, using this experience to inspire him to make music in his spare time. This inspiration resulted in his first release in 2004, ‘Rythmic NYC’. Since then, From P60 has produced various emotion-provoking and inspiring releases, some of which have graced the catalogues of DeepStitched.

Catch the DeepStitched Nights family out at Artizen Lounge (Durban) on 28 October 2016, King Kong in Johannesburg on 29 October 2016 and at Loch Hotel in the Vaal on 30 October 2016.
